I adore you. I've decided this is a nearly perfect word right now. I love your writing Nathan. Being excited about another person's existence is a really beautiful idea to me. I haven't thought about things this way, but I understand what you mean. Meeting someone you didn't even know existed who you bond with and can form a relationship with really is amazing (romantic or otherwise... :)
